Congratulation to all Malaysian, today we all have to accept the Government decision to stop giving fuel subsidy. Sob-sob, RM2.70 per liter,....Its the right time for me to buy 2nd hand Modenas Kriss. And of course logically there will be price hike to other consumer items due to increase in transportation cost.

By the way just to inform I'm setting up new self hosted blog here, but still crawling and learning from trial and error processes. Uh, I wish they have easier setting like blogger......You can have a preview of hosting provider like what I'm using right now.

What a week. I'm so busy this whole week and don't have enough time to update own blog.
The other thing is have own issue that have to be settled. If you have read the book "Men are from Mars, Women are from Venus," by John Gray, this is the time when men go to their caves to cope with stress. It is one of the biggest differences between men and women. When women cope with stress they are overwhelmed and emotionally involved. Men, on the other hand, withdraw, they go to their cave.

A cave for men is not necessarily a place as it is a state of mind. It could be the basement or the garage. It is generally a condition where a man temporarily loses awareness of everything else. There he becomes distant, forgetful, unresponsive and preoccupied. If the man cannot find a solution to his problem he remains stuck in his cave. He is powerless to come out and give any attention to his partner or anyone else for that matter.

Finally arrived at home at 1130pm. God I missed my bloglah. After 5 days of searching something interesting in the 'land of elephant' or the land where tomyam originated. ha ha

Actually the trip was educational visit (cum year end holiday lah tu) to Thai's One Tambun One Product (OTOP) project. Tambun in Thai's language means Village. In Japan we call it One Village One Product (OVOP) while in our Boleh land we call it Satu Daerah Satu Industri (SDSI)

Too tired to write about the trip and the pleasant encounter for the past 5 days because tomorrow have to balik kampung to celebrate Eid-Adha, to be continue....

Towards A Self Hosted Blog

After nearly 5 months of free blogging under blogger.com server, its now the right time to consider migrating to my own domain and self hosted blog. There are nothing wrong with blogger.com, in fact for me blogger.com is still the best platform for free hosting service. It offers everything you ever need for your blogging satisfaction. I've learned everything about HTML, CSS and etc just by playing around with the blogger.com template.

It is just a matter of expanding the blog capacity, thanks for the good article by webpronews.com. If you just want to blog to keep in contact with relatives and friends in another state or just to have your voice heard, you cant beat the hosted versions for making that an easy thing to do. However, if you want to control what kinds of ads appear on your blog, how it’s marketed and how it’s developed as a brand for your business then you are definitely going to want to lean towards hosting it yourself.

In other words, if you want to use your blog for business, you should be thinking about hosting it yourself. Thats what I'm thinking right now.

Here are the tips that I've received from a very helpful blogger, opps... for national security reason, the source prefer to remain anonymous he he he.

You must buy domain name before you sign up with hosting company. It is common practice to buy domain and hosting from different companies. Using two service providers, when problem persists, it is easier to replace one service than to replace two.

Beware of hosting package that includes a free domain name. This domain name may not be registered under your name but under the domain registrar cum web host who gets good deal for registering domain names in bulk. Things can get unpleasant if you decide to change domain registrar or hosting company when the domain is not registered under your name.

So decide on domain name and buy frm godaddy or any of ur chosen domain registrar. When buying a domain name look for those registrars with ICANN certification for greater security and stability.

Mentioned earlier, a host is a server which provides a home or premises for the domain or weblog address which you have bought. The host contains all the files needed to run your website and is where you upload all files needed for your web contents.

The web host chosen should be reliable with minimum 99.95% uptime. Next you need to look at the bandwidth and diskspace. Bandwidth is the amount of bytes transferred from your site to your visitor's computer when they browse your site. The bigger the bandwidth, the more traffic can access your website at the same time. Bigger diskspace is especially useful if your site need to keep a lot graphic,audio or video files.

If you have acquired a domain name and has signed up with a different web host, next is to change the DNS or domain name server from the domain registrar to point to your web host. This step is essential.

Method - Login to your account with the domain name registrar, look for your domain name and then click on change of DNS or Nameservers. Usually you have 2 boxes filled with Nameserver 1 and Nameserver 2. Overwrite these with the ones provided by your hosting company in their email to you. You are done and next is to install WP

Do we Really Need Word Verification

Here is the situation: you've found a very fascinating and interesting article on a particular blog and you thought you want to give your opinion, comment or contribute something to the post. After finished putting the comment entry, suddenly came the word verification form to be filled before your comment can be published.....and what made thing worst is the verification word was written in unusual style so that you have to blink and focus your eyes clearly to type the exact letter. You have tried 3 times and still the couldn't pass the verification..Isn't it frustrating? Out of frustration you may just leave the article uncommented since didn't have enough the time to focus on the unusual characters displayed on the word verification form.

So do you really need this word verification? personally I'm not quite agree with word verification in term of blogging for certain reasons:

I'm not doing a multi million business transaction here, I just want to give comment to the post, the comment itself still can be moderated and administered by the blog owner. Even if I'm using my cc or doing online transaction still I don't need that verification;
I'm using spectacles since 14 years old, I don't want to hurt my eyes just to stare and focusing unnecessarily to identify the correct letter for the sake of giving comment;
I don't know exactly what is actually the main function of word verification, I'm not a V-Kid that want to send virus to others blog via comment form. In fact I can't do any harm with my comment since it will be moderated by the author/owner;
If I'm the blog owner, I want people to leave a comment and message to my post, thus I make it simple for them to just key in whatever in their mind, after all, I still have the privilege to accept or reject the comment.

Well that is my personal opinion, may be you have your own valid and strong justification to enable word verification for comment post. So What Say You?

What A Day

What a rainy day at east coast. The picture below is taken at 10.00 am, still no sunlight.....so I've decide to continue my sleep.....zzzzzzzz

The weather changed in the afternoon, the sun came out for a while so I have the chance to stroll around the village. This is where some villagers waiting for their runaway train, he he he.....You can try to follow this route about 1 hour and you'll find your self at Thailand, ha ha ha)

On the way back to Putrajaya, met another accident, Just yesterday we've passed the location of the fatal accident that killed 6 people on Gua Musang - Kuala Krai route. While this new accident occurred around 630 pm, somewhere on Gua Musang - Kuala Lipis road. This time we got out from our car to see what we can help. People said two people has been sent to Hospital, didn't know their condition...what a terrible accident.

One thing for sure, you cannot drive above 100km/h during raining condition, both accidents occurred when the drivers lost control of their vehicle due to slippery road.

Some bloggers like to add target="_blank" to their link post while some prefer not. It may look a simple and 'remeh' thing but actually by putting the code into your HTML code, it somehow gives benefit for your blog so that your visitors still in your site although they have clicked on the link at your post. Thanks for the tip given by my blogging taiko Fatia for her useful advise. 'Tabik Spriiiinnng'

The rationale is simple like this : Your have provide a link in your blog post somewhere in the middle of the paragraph, and at the same time you want your visitor to finish reading your post till the last sentences. By not providing the target="_blank" code to the link, you may end up losing your readers after they have clicked to the link and found more interesting topic at the newly clicked link . And normally visitors are lazy to find back to your site unless they still need something from your site.

To put the code, go to your post, edit HTML find the link and add this: target="_blank" at the end of the link. The link in HTML code should look like this:

I'm going to prove that my theory of 'An article Keep A blog healthier' is not just a theory, just at Nov 19, this Boleh Blog ranked at 43 out of 15,900,000 result on Google search engine with the keyword 'Boleh'. ..and today it has improve to 30 out of 19,000,000 result.

You see, very encouraging improvement for a free host blog like me...the main reason is just simple. I keep on posting at least one article perday on whatever topic I like. and I predict for the next three weeks my blog will be in the first 10 rank in google search.

Another important factor contributing for the improvement is the comments and links from fellow bloggers. For this I really appreciate our steady bloggers like Waliz, Fatia, Azis, Arsaili, Azza, Wanno and many more. Gonna treat you all a special tomyam later..

What A Rainy Day

What a rainy day, I'm not sure about other places but here in Putrajaya, the rain hasn't stop since 7.00 am. Sejuuuuk sangat hari ni sampai tak boleh nak concentrate keje (plus the malas too). Rasanya dah nak start musim tengkujuh. Kalau kat kampung best nih, boleh pegi sawah dan pasang pukat.....kat bandar, tengok je lah air, tak boleh merasai keseronokan hujan, nanti kang orang bandar kata gila pulak bila main hujan.

Masa kat opis, tengok one of the staff pakai inai kat tangan, wah, menarik jugak ye, dulu tak ramai perempuan melayu pakai inai ni, nampaknya sekarang trend dah berubah, ok gak, cantik, RM5.00 untuk sekali lukis, boleh tahan sampai 5 hari. I tanya dia lelaki boleh buat tak? she said kalau nak buat boleh..kalau tak malulah.....but not sure whether boleh buat sembahyang atau tak......takut nanti wuduk tak sampai.....hmmm curious, nak kena refer to learned person first.

Marina Cove Teluk Batik

I'm too tired to write a long paragraph about latest trip to Marina Cove Teluk Batik, but still want to share with you all about the trip.

( 5 hours driving alone at 3 p.m, what a sleepy ride)

(Arrived at hotel at 9.00 pm, after 5 hours drive...they say it only takes 3.30 hours, tipulah, or don't know whether they are using F1 cars to get here)

I've just came back from 3 days workshop at Teluk Batik, ....they have a wireless connection there, but somehow my laptop failed to connect on the net. So here I am again, after two days of MIA.

Well there was nothing special about the workshop, normal year-end procedure to prepare for the next year planning. and as usual, the genius always sit at the end of the row.....,(so I managed to snap the beautiful presenter). And for my own observation, the maximum hour people (or audience ) can pay attention to the lecture is only two hours...after that the concentration will go for another thing.

(bla ..bla..bla..bugdet, plan, minimize cost, optimize manpower, customer satisfaction...bla bla bla...zzzzzzz)

(typical arm for office worker, a pencil, a power point notes and file folder, It represent the M16, knife or grenade if I'm in the army )

(Somehow when you're too bored and lost your attention....this is what your face turned to)

The Boleh Lizard

Just finished washing the car before going to Teluk Batik, but suddenly found something interesting here:

(A look at distance, normal car, nothing special about this old car)

(when look at closer view, found an unusual object inside the rear lamp)

(closer zoom found a dead lizard inside my car's rear lamp)

(what a lizard, she choose my car's lamp to be her graveyard)

How come that lizard manage to sneak into my car's lamp? Lesson to be learned here:

Mankind is very brilliant in creating and inventing everything in the universe, somehow a tiny animal like lizard can beat man's intelligence; and
This dead lizard is one of the BOLEH lizard...and she had a taste also, her skeleton will always be highlighted whenever the car moving...

Boleh Blogger Out Of Town

This December becomes a very busy month for Boleh Blogger, Just came back from hometown for family matter yesterday, then have to report myself on 2nd Dec at Marina Cove Sherwood, Teluk Batik, Lumut, Perak for office's workshop from 2 to 4 Dec. I'm afraid I don't have enough time to update this blog, means that I cannot keep my own promise of one article per day for the blog.....

By the way, Sherwood Marina Cove is Lumut's most exciting Resort destination. Sherwood Marina Cove is an ideal destination for holiday makers, company outings, team building, meetings and etc. The resort is surrounded by nature forest reserves, it is in a secluded bay and its peaceful and tranquil surrounding is an ideal escapade destination.

On the other hand, may be with all the facilities offered by the resort and the beautiful scenery, it will give Boleh blogger more ideas can creativity to share something here later.....ok then, gerai tomyam will be closed till 4th December.

Rules Of Work

Everybody is talking about 'work smart, don't work hard' sound like simple words, but they never explain what actually they meant by 'work smart'...may be in KL you can work at SMART Tunnel or SMART Tag.......Even my boss always ask us to work smart, but never took initiative to explain what on the earth he meant by smart...as a result, we end up work harder than before, What a boss.

I'm taking this opportunity to share about the book that I've read and presented earlier this year, Rules of Work , A definitive code for personal success by Richard Templar. So that we can share a right direction on how to succeed in career. So here we go:

The introductory part, not so important, more on who is the author and his personal success. The main point here is how we can manipulate our daily and simple work routine to gain personal advancement.

The overview of the book, what so special about the book itself, using simple English and universal office term.

Walk The Talk

You must make sure your work get noticed by your boss or top management, whether you really doing it or asking some one else, that doesn't matter. You must be looked hard worker.

The other one is you must practice Under promise and over deliver in dealing with office assignment. If you know the task could be finished in 3 days, tell your boss that jobs need more time at least a week, then after 4 days gives him the task...you can create positive impression from your boss.

You're being Judged
Cultivate Positive Judgment From Others, means that you should improve your PR skills and technique with everybody in the organization. Learn how to please your superiors and at the same time pleasing the subordinates. Not in difficult way but just by knowing their birthdays, family fairs, health situation etc. Knowing their kids name is for sure a psychological win for you.

Speak, Walk And Write Well, personal grooming is a compulsory, you must be able to speak, walk and write differently from others so that you're more visible to the management than your colleagues. You must be seen like that although deep inside your mind you know nothing about any particular subject.

Have A Plan

You should know what you want, in short and long term, should have personal action plan, what actually you want to achieve in that organization in short term, to be known popular, famous, reliable or becoming manager in certain department? Then go all out for it, create the atmosphere that you deserve to be recognized of what you have plan.

While for long term planning, you should had a special plan what is your position in the organization in the next 10 or 20 years, General Manager? Board of Managemant/Directors etc. every successful individual does have a personal plan. So must you.

Set Objectives

You need an objective for your career, it is simple mission statement that you can use to get you through your day. It is impossible to be successful or get promoted if you don't even have a single objective about your work.

If You Can't Say Anything, Nice Shut Up

Don't Gossip And bitch, honestly most of people like to gossip, to bitch, to talk bad about others, The rules say don't do it. You must learn how to speak and say everything in positive and nice things. People judge you by what are you saying as much as how you say it.

Only Speak Sense

You must project the right image of yourself by speaking only the sense. Let others have a nice perception of you as a wise, reliable, cool, sophisticated and etc. Most of the time all the hard work can be destroyed by a careless or unguarded communication.

Look After Yourself

You must be able to identify any special or uniques ethic of your industry. Make sure you have a image that can suite your working environment and avoid creating any trouble with colleagues or anyone. Minimize your working enemy or challenger.

You must set your own personal standard and make sure your standard is recognized by your management. Simple one like "I have a moral code that I will follow whatever direction given from my superior without asking single question". With this standard you can win your management's heart easily.

Blend In

You must 'become one of them' in an organization so you don't stand out as an outsider. To achieve that you should know the corporate culture of your own organization. even if you don't believe, you should fit in it. For example if golf is your organization's favorite game, then you have to play it although you actually don't like golf.

Speak the language of your organization, if all people in your organization speak geeky language then you too must use it. think like a wise man but communicate in the language of the people.

Actually there are 10 rules to be followed, but I just stop here, the next 4 rules are to be continued.....

An Article A Day Keep A Blog Healthier

As famous quote says, "An Apple A Day Keep The Doctor Away", So do your blog, but your blog don't eat apple to stay healthy, she eats post/entry to stay fresh. Inspired with this quote, I've rearranged the words so that can be used in my own blogging arena " An Article A Day Keep A Blog Healthier".

If your blog doesn't need much attention from search engine since you don't put any ads, there should be no issue about that, but if your blog contains ads that need to be clicked by potential visitor, you should be aware of the situation. More visitors means more potential clickers, thus creating faster earning chances.

Search engines love fresh content, and to make your blog fresh you need to feed the content everyday. Your blog will be crawled faster if you maintain daily update. So if your too busy to update your blog, you need to rearrange your daily schedule so that you can find a time to post at least a single post a day....and if you have nothing to post, or absolutely running out of idea...Do it as what I'm doing right now. ha ha ha. I mean for sure you got something in your mind, just put it in your blog and create new label for it, thats all.

1st class infrastructure facilities, but 3rd class mentality...sound familiar eh;
When there is a sign of 'Don't Throw Rubbish Here', then that is the exact place we dump our waste;
We used to beat Korea and Japan in Football, but now we can't even beat any countries anymore;
Want to break world record, but normally ends up in silly event like the longest satay burning event etc;
So polite and gentle in normal situation but change to deathly devil when behind the steering;
Malaysian like to read, but most on entertainment part rather than knowledge or information;
Whenever there is a road accident, traffic jam will occur, all drivers slowing their vehicles to look at it, but none will step out from the vehicle to help.

Just receive short direction from top management to attend Official educational visit to Thailand's One Tambun One Product (OTOP) projects next two weeks. Hmm, another overseas travel? But still I have to reconfirm the direction in black and white first. How many of you know something about the Thai's OTOP?

And after done a quick survey I've found that and the main purpose of Thai's OTOP are:

1) To construct a comprehensive database system which accommodates necessary information from every Tambon in Thailand.

2) To promote local Thai products for every Tambon, and to facilitate the buy-and-sell procedure.

3) To bring internet technology to villages and this is the starting point of the Tambon Internet Project.

4) To help encourage and promote tourism in Thailand down to Tambon level. Thus more income will be distributed to rural people.

5) To help rural people to exchange information, ideas, and to improve communication across various Tambon.

The other country that considered very successful in implementing this rural economy based project is Japan, which regard the project as One Village One Product (OVOP) . In Japan, OVOP comprises:

Fulfilling the potential of a village and its residents
Selecting competitive products made from local materials and using local wisdom, creativity and unique
skills to deliver unique products with true value aiming at both domestic and global markets
Including the commitment and involvement of the central and local governments.

Six Keys for the Success of OVOP in Japan:

People’sawareness of OVOP
Exploring the unrealized potential of each village
Continuous trials and enduring efforts
Seeking higher added-value in products
Developing markets and distribution channels
Nurturing people’s talents

While in our BOLEH nation, the project is called Satu Daerah Satu Industri (SDSI), was first introduced in 1992 as One Village One Product. Beginning 2004, the Malaysian Government has focused on the development of SDSI to a broader scope that will ensure a continuous income, sustainable project and also becoming formal business entity.

SDSI's concept is to develop one or two product/service which reflects the identity of a district and uniqueness of its product of the income of local community. Malaysia focuses on business model orientation which is more sustainable and progressive with high value added chain. Clustering all related activities within the area helps to enhance and improve the value of the products. Concerted efforts from all sectors are crucial especially in promotional and marketing activities.

In term of implementation of the project, Implementation Coordination Unit (ICU JPM), under the Prime Minister's Department coordinates the implementation among Government Ministries/Agencies under the New SDSI Framework as follows:

Food Product (Ministry of Agriculture and Agro based Industry)
Homestay (Ministry of Tourism)
Entrepreneur Development (Ministry of Entrepreneur and Cooperative Development)
Marketing and Promotion (Ministry of Entrepreneur and Cooperative Development)
Rural Industry (Ministry of Rural and Regional Development)
SAWARI (FELDA)

On the other hand, in term of tourism, Bangkok itself offers variety of attractions to the tourist, especially during nightlife. Bangkok's nightlife has a reputation for being wild and rowdy. But at the same time it's relaxed, safe, enjoyable and great fun! Rapidly establishing itself as Asia's capital of cool, Bangkok's diverse nightlife scene features everything from excellent live music and good jazz clubs to ultra cool bars, trendy clubs and great restaurants - and go far beyond its once-upon-a-time sleazy and naughty image.

Studies have shown that large amounts of pink can create physical weakness in people. In some cultures, such as the US, pink is the color of little girls. It represents sugar and spice and everything nice. Pink for men goes in and out of style. Most people still think of pink as a feminine, delicate color.

Boleh Lazy Song

I've been looking for this "Malas' song for a long time, so hard to find this beautiful song and finally I've got it last night, Horrey. What a fruitful hunting.

This 'Malas' or Lazy song was popularized by local Rock band Teacher's Pet back in 1994 with the album 'Eh...Keras Tu!'. The song is written by Bob Lokman, I'm sure most of Malaysian knows him as comedian rather than his personal capacity as songwriter.

Something special about this song, why? because most of my colleagues will automatically sang the chorus part of the song whenever we didn't want to attend any lectures. And in extreme situation some of them didn't hesitate to sang loudly in the lecture hall if didn't agree with the assignment given. and some even declared the song as official personal song. Ha ha ha, It was 13 years ago, my man, what a good college's life.

While blogwalking I've came across a very interesting site, especially for local entertainment fans: Mangga Online which offers variety of choices for fans regarding Malaysian entertainment like celebrities fashion, gossip, images, news, articles, online tv, interactive blog as well as download section. err what else do the fans want from their idols?

Some of the most popular article which can be found there are Kisah Adegan Ranjang Ella & Jojie, Kisah Cinta Zed Zaidi Dengan Rozita, and Linda Onn dan Farhin. At the same time the site also offers brief review of local on going movies.

Although I never bought Mangga magazine in my entire life but I'm sure it will bring benefit to our local entertainment industry. First I thought the main target group of this site is a younger generation or teenagers but a glance at the site's registered users found that some of them are old and even considered Mak and Bapak budak. he he he..This means the site also attracts older audience. Wanita berusia 33 tahun itu ditahan kira-kira jam 8.30 pagi oleh pegawai penguat kuasa Jabatan Agama Islam Pulau Pinang (JAIPP) yang menerima maklumat awam.

Menurutnya, empat pegawai penguat kuasa Ahmad pergi ke bilik terbabit yang disyaki untuk melakukan pemeriksaan. Katanya, selepas pintu diketuk kira-kira 10 minit, ia dibuka seorang wanita yang ketika itu memakai seluar pendek dan berbaju-T ketat sambil mendakwa menginap seorang diri di hotel itu.

Just another great tools from my favorite host, blogger on 19 November has introduced a new Slideshow page element which enable blogger to add slideshow of favorites photos from Picasa Web Albums, Flickr, Photobucket, or any site that supports Media RSS. This sound interesting ma.

The photos will show up in blog’s sidebar, gently fading into one another. Blog readers will be able to go forward and backward, pause, and click through to the photo’s web page. The slideshow can be made public or personal based on a tag or label. and Like all page elements, Slideshow requires that existing blogger using Layouts templates.

What a pleasant finding for this Boleh Blog, for the word 'boleh', my blog's ranking on google was 73th out of 15,900,000 result on 13 Nov, and right now after 6 days this blog has improved to 45. This is very good situation and I believe active participation in Mybloglog is one of the main factors improving this site ranking.

Looking at this promising situation, I'm putting my objective to achieve at least on the first page of every search engine with the word 'boleh'....boleh la kot.

Just finished giving brief and discussion with 30 international participants of Malaysian Technical Cooperation Program (MTCP), at some points, we should be proud of our own's country achievement. Compared with other developing nations, we are already ahead of them....err, lunch time right now, still have an hour to post something here .

Being a streamyx user, sometime we are facing connection problem which effects our browsing capacity. Page loading sometimes takes a lot of time especially for a site that have too many pictures and widget. This blog also affected by the situation.

I've noticed Boleh Links takes a lot of time due to pictures that are hosted by yahoo server on MyBloglog. So I decided to rearrange the link to text based link instead of pictures. But I didn't like using the default link list since it will create long vertical list. Indeed I believe most of readers are too lazy to scroll down to bottom of every link provided, so I've rearranged the list for horizontal view. Since the link has 200 addresses, it will take sometimes, but I promise everyone in my contact won't be left.

Another great news for Malay movie goers, Tune Entertainment Group Sdn bhd and Tall Order Production Sdn Bhd has produced a new comedy action titled 'Cuci The Movie'. This U (general viewing) tagged movies is directed by Hans Isaac who also play as main actor in the movie.

What makes the movie interesting is the idea of producing the movie itself : It all started when actor Hans Isaac was stuck in a traffic jam in the city and saw a man cleaning the windows of a building. It prompted him to write the movie. The synopsis of the movie go like this :

A story about 4 orphans from Kuala Selangor who formed a cleaning company in Kuala Lumpur. The story evolves around them trying their best too fulfil their dreams of becoming one of the big cleaning contractors.

They soon enrol in the Window Washing Olympics (WW0) hosted by a famous Crown Enterprise. The WWO will give them the chance to bid for a cleaning contract at KLCC Twin Towers. The boys company “CUCI-CUCI SERVICES” will be up against WIRA MAJU INTERNATIONAL CLEANERS a company currently having the contract to clean KLCC Twin Towers. “CUCI” inserts a lot of action sequence with a light comedy twist.

The movie casted by Awie as Jojo (Main Actor), Afdlin Shauki as Fairil (Main Actor), AC Mizal as C' Tan (Main Actor), Hans Isaac as Khai (Main Actor), Erra Fazira as Siti Jasmin (CJ) (Supporting Actor), Umie Aida as Farah (Supporting Actor), Dato' Haji Rahim Razali as Tan Sri Rahim (Supporting Actor) and few more.

The movie will be availabe for public on 24 January 2008. I'm quite sure this movie will give satisfaction for audience. Another good news for Malay movie goers for this school holidays, Infohibur Production Sdn. Bhd is producing its first movie titled " Orang Minyak" or 'oily man'. This thriller and horror genre movie will be available on local cinemas on 15th November 2007. The synopsis of this from sinemamalaysia movie goes like this:

This story is based on fiction and myth made by a professor who was doing a research on Orang Minyak in Kampung Silang. Pak Junid placed Dian, the professor, at his house in Kampung Silang and entertained her as well with the marriage of Ina. As the ceremony is taking place, Orang Minyak appeared and all hell broke lose. Pak Junid and Munir who have cornered him placed him in a bottle and threw it away in the river. Unfortunately the bottle was stuck to a nearby branch and was brought ashore by two fisherman.

The bottle was then thrown aside. The bottle eventually broke and Orang Minyak came to existance again. The terror he brought to the village itself was unstoppable. Will Orang Minyak ever be able to fulfill his true conquest? Or will the village people stop him in time before he strikes again?

Why Bob The Builder? even Bob has "can do' spirit. What a nice educational cum entertainment approach cultivated to younger generation. Bob the Builder is actually a children's television character created by Keith Chapman. Bob appears as a construction contractor in a stop motion animated programme with his colleague Wendy, various neighbours and friends, and their gang of anthropomorphised work-vehicles and equipment (all made of clay).

Bob the Builder is a construction worker and head of his own construction yard. He is the namesake of the show and also its main character. Some of the problems in the show arise from Bob's habit of forgetting to turn his mobile phone on. He is the owner of Pilchard the Cat. Wendy who runs the office and keeps the business in order. She is his business partner and often organizes tools and equipment. An underlying romantic tension between Bob and Wendy is hinted at in several episodes. Another good news from our young and BOLEH achiever, Nicole David made it hatrick in Hong Kong Open Title yesterday. Nicol Ann David (born August 26, 1983 in Penang, Malaysia) is a Malaysian professional squash player. she is the first Asian woman to be ranked World No. 1 in the sport.

Nicol David is the first squash player to have won the World Junior title twice (1999 and 2000). She remained the only female squash player to have achieved this, until Raneem El Weleily emulated David's feat by winning her second World Junior Championship in 2007.

On 4 December 2005, she beat Rachael Grinham in the final of the Hong Kong World Open to become the youngest world champion. Fuel subsidies will be reduced

Our beloved Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi yersterday announced that the fuel subsidies will be reduced as they can no longer be sustained with the steep rise in global oil prices.

The Government also taking the best effort to make sure the impending price increase was affordable to those in the low-income group. It will restructure and subsidise at suitable rates and this will be the approach The Government will take in the future. The RM40 billion-a-year subsidy for fuel was too much for the government to bear and if the subsidy is reduced, the Government will have a lot of money to develop the country.

May be its the right time for our Proton to consider making a water powered car, since our country is located around a heavily rainy area. Water Powered Cars or Hydrogen/Oxygen Powered Cars, using 100% water as fuel is real. By spiltting water by electrolysis and creating hydrogen/oxygen gas, you can replace gasoline.

By that time, we will have Water station everywhere just like Petronas petrol station nowadays, and those who live near the river will be richer person. But when?........another 50 years? or just in our dream? BOLEH, we will make it BOLEH.

Air Asia Female Cabin Crew Uniform Under Fire

One of the highlighted issues during previous United Malays National Organisation (UMNO) is Air Asia's female cabin crew unifrom. Female delegates demanded a budget airline to review its flight attendants' miniskirts for less revealing, "The uniform is too revealing. We don't want to look at their thigh and knee, their skirts should go down to the ankles, Malaysia is an Islamic nation and we are ashamed of the AirAsia uniform" said Zaleha Hussin, an elderly woman delegate from the east coast state of Kelantan.

For sure this is not seems to be good news for some people, however we believe Airasia may have the rationale answer for that. We actually agree to the suggestion for the benefit of the female, but at the same time the delegate should also consider implementation to other services in the country, not focusing only on Air asia. We believe there are many services out there still manipulating female workers to attract more customers, which must be considered by the authority. After all, as claimed by the delegate, Malaysia is an Islamic nation, therefore as far as we concern Islamic teaching has already outlined that Muslim female should cover everypart of her body except her face and palm.

Ever heard or read the book titled Men Are from Mars, Women Are from Venus by John Gray? Do you really need a multiple internet browser on a single operating system? The answer actually depends on the usage and actual need of website or blog owner. And for those who are into adjusting or rearranging HTML code, multiple browser is a necessity.

Diwali, or Deepawali (in Hindi ), is a major Indian festival, significant in Hinduism and Jainism. Celebrated by Hindus and Jains across the globe, as the "Festival of Lights," where the lights or lamps signify the uplighting of darkness and victory of good over the evil within.

The day also commemorated the homecoming of King Rama of Ayodhya, after a 14-year exile in the forest, and thus the people of Ayodhya (the capital of his kingdom) welcomed him back by lighting up rows of lamps (deepa-wali), thus its name, Deepawali, or simply shortened as Diwali. The celebrations focus on lights and lamps, particularly traditional dīpa or deeya (earthen lamp), and fireworks. Though colloquially called Diwali in North India, in South India it is called Deepavali.

Diwali is celebrated for five consecutive days at the end of Hindu month of Ashwayuja (amanta). It usually occurs in October/November, and is one of the most popular and eagerly awaited festivals in India. Diwali comes exactly twenty days after Dussehra. Hindus, Jains and Sikhs alike regard it as a celebration of life and use the occasion to strengthen family and social relationships.

The 14 year old Malaysia Formula BMW Asia Series 2007 racer has been denied victory although finish 1st at Zhuhai International Circuit, China. The organizer stated the main reason for disqualification was the usage of spring component inside the machine's gear box which is not within allowed specification.

Formula BMW is a junior racing car formula for single seater cars. It is positioned at the bottom of the motorsport category. Like Formula Ford, it is intended to function as the young in 2001, with the first of its championships being inaugurated in Germany in 2002. Selected competitors from each series meet in the World Final at the end of each season, with the promise of a is a junior racing formula for single seatercareer ladder alongside the longer established Formula Fordkart racing graduate's first experience of car racing. The new formula was created by BMW MotorsportFormula One test for the winner.

We finally decide to have a blog's theme song, and of course it should be FIKIRKAN BOLEH song, anybody of you still remember the song? Some people say it is juat another Government propaganda. But for me I perceive it as an initiative by the Government to instill the 'Can do' spirit among the public. It is a method of motivation and uplifting the spirit and commitment among the citizen, nothing wrong with that, after all the song itself didn't promote any political entities. It is for the whole nation, be it Government or opposition sides or normal citizen.

Somehow some of the public still engages with the old words like ' Rezeki Secupak Tidak Akan Jadi Segantang' or 'Kalau dah Rezeki Tak Kemana Lah tu'....And I'm sure our old folks who create that words didn't meant for demotivation, but the way our society perceive negatively.

Another good news for Malay movie goers, Metrowealth Movie Production now showing a new comedy romantic movie, 9 September starred by Pierre Andre and Fasha Sandha.

The synopsis goes like this: Nia (Fasha Sandha) is a very cute tomboy girl who was recently dumped by her boyfriend. Since then, she has kept hatred towards men. She lets out her anger on Kogi (Pierre Andre), an honest and kind guy who becomes an easy target for Nia to bully. They first met when Nia accidentally entered Kogi's house and since then many coincidental meetings happen between them. No matter how many times Kogi is bullied by Nia, he puts on a strong front and is a gentleman most of the time until they eventually fall for each other, but this was cut short when Adrian (Fahrin Ahmad), Nia's ex-lover, enters her life again. Nia is still head over heels in love with Adrian but her love for him isn't like it was before. One day, Nia decides to fly off to Tokyo with her boyfriend for a year. The BOLEH blog had captured the nicest image this week, Prime Minister shaking hand with Kelantan's Opposition leader cum the state Menteri Besar for the sake of development on East Coast Economic Region (ECER).

Regardless of any political or hidden agenda behind the situation, we do hope and believe the only thing that can make this mega billion project success is just by cooperation from both parties, government and opposition, after all the project should be for nation's best interest...not personal gain.

The rules are very simple, the state owns the land but lack of development fund while the Federal doesn't own land but have the fund needed. So both side have to negotiate for a win-win situation.

It is very interesting article I've read from The Star Online : " Orang Melayu perlu mempunyai sifat "kiasu", iaitu sentiasa mahu menjadi nombor satu atau yang terbaik dalam apa jua bidang yang mereka ceburi, kata pakar ekonomi dan cendiakawan negara Prof Diraja Ungku Aziz Ungku Abdul Hamid. Sifat "kiasu" itu adalah antara tujuh kebaikan yang perlu dimiliki orang Melayu untuk berjaya yang digariskannya pada Forum Khas Konvensyen Pertanian Kebangsaan 2007 yang bertemakan "Melayu Dalam Pertanian: Dulu, Kini dan Akan Datang".

Beliau berkata sebelum zaman penjajahan, orang Melayu terkenal sebagai pedagang di rantau ini berikutan keberanian mereka mengembara menjaja barangan dagangan di peringkat antarabangsa serta berani mengambil risiko.Malangnya dengan kedatangan British, orang Melayu telah ditindas dan minda serta pemikiran mereka dipengaruhi secara halus menyebabkan sehingga kini masih tidak mampu bangkit untuk mencapai kecemerlangan zaman Kesultanan Melayu, katanya.

Kiasu is a Hokkien (a Chinese spoken variant) word that literally means 'fear of losing' . However its actual usage would imply a meaning more approaching that of "dog in a manger", and yet not quite. Examples of kiasu behaviour includes accumulating too much food on one's plate during a buffet lunch in case there is no more later, or joining a queue many days in advance just to ensure that one successfully gets hold of the limited free tickets to events, promotions and shows such as Singapore's annual National Day Parade.

This word is so widely used by Singaporeans and Malaysians that it is incorporated into their English vocabulary (in the form of Singlish). It is often used in describing the social attitudes of people, especially about South East Asian society and its values. Its widespread use is often due to the fact that these attitudes are common—to not lose out in a highly competitive society, or to the extent of parents imposing heavy study labour on their children in their wish to make them at the very top of all other students. Growing up with this attitude, these students often become ambitious businesspeople, with the desire to be on top in wealth and prestige regardless of whether the most prestigious careers are aligned with their true capabilities.

Yes, I do agree with the Prof, The Malay needs that kind of attitude to excel in their worldly affairs, but unfortunately some Malays adopt the Kiasu in the wrong situation, on the road while driving, vandalizing social amenities, giving or accepting bribe etc.

Sazali capped a move to the below 70kg lightweight category by coming out tops in a field of six finalists. Germany's Patrick Ostolani took the silver while Richard Riedl of Slovakia, the runner-up last year, settled for bronze.

Sazali's previous three world titles were won in the below 65kg category (bantamweight) and his latest feat has ensured his place in history as the most successful Malaysian bodybuilder. Sazali took his first title when Malaysia hosted the championships in 2000 and he repeated the feat in Moscow in 2004. He was the silver medallist in the 2005 edition in Shanghai but bounced back to win again in Ostrava, the Czech Republic, last year. The first Malaysian to win a world title was Clancy Ang in 1962. It is an achievement the country can be proud of because it is not easy for a bodybuilder to four world titles.

Well congratulation bro, although I know nothing about this sport except staring amusedly at the extraordinary body muscles, you actually bring up the nation pride globally. BOLEH to you.

Shocking news to all malaysian, Sheikh Mustafa Shukor Al Masrie, 32, the brother of Angkasawan Dr Sheikh Muszaphar Shukor, died at 6pm yesterday at Universiti Malaya Medical Centre here without regaining consciousness since going into a coma last Sunday after falling and hitting his head in a restaurant in Taman Desa. His body was taken to his family's home in Section 12, Petaling Jaya, last night. Veterinarian Datuk Sheikh Mustapa Shukor said he was elated and sad at the same time. “This is because one of my sons managed to go to space and returned safely while the other just passed away,” he said.

In a telephone interview from Moscow, the Angkasawan said: “When I went to space I found my life. But when I returned, I lost the life of a loved one.”

This is another development in association with our Malaysia BOLEH spirit and another milestone in local entertainment history, MALAYSIA'S first made-for-web (online) drama Kerana Karina, available exclusively on entertainment portal, Gua.com.my, will premiere on this coming Monday. The 20 four-minute episodes drama was produced in partnership with Grand Brilliance Sdn Bhd.

The drama features Marsha Londoh(Akademi Fantasia), Zizan Nin, Sazzy Falak, Elaine Daly and composer Roslan Aziz in his first acting stint. Synopsis of Kerana Karina tells the story of how a pop princess, Karina (played by Marsha), deals with fame and life. Besides Marsha, Zizan, Sazzy, Daly and Roslan, the star-studded line-up also includes thespian Chelsia Ng, model and actor Alan Yun, and ntv7's Audition winner Razally Husin.

I'm glad to share about the new dimension of Malay film development. GRAND Brilliance Sdn. Bhd., (GBSB) mensasarkan kutipan tiket RM10 juta bagi filem terbaru terbitannya bersama KRU Films Sdn. Bhd., berjudul Duyung yang akan ditayangkan pada tahun depan. Penerbit Eksekutif Duyung, Norman Abdul Halim pula berkata, beliau yakin filem usahasama GBSB dan KRU Films dengan kerjasama Line Clear Motion Pictures itu mampu memikat hati para penonton kerana mengetengahkan genre fantasi romantik komedi. KD Tunku Abdul Rahman, named after the country’s first Prime Minister, was unveiled in a historic ceremony at the DCNS dockyard here, about 400km from Paris.

In keeping with maritime tradition, Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor broke a bottle of water against the submarine’s sail to signify the official launching and naming of the vessel. The Deputy Prime Minister’s wife then unveiled a plaque with the submarine’s name and called upon “Allah to bless her and all who serve and sail with her”.

Accompanying her were Royal Malaysian Navy chief Admiral Tan Sri Ramlan Mohamed Ali, DCNS chairman Jean-Marie Poimbeouf and Submarine Force Project Team head Laksamana Pertama Rosland Omar.

The Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence, Datuk Seri Najib Razak said in his speech that the project signified a major leap into high technology defence acquisition, providing the impetus for the local industry to acquire cutting-edge technological knowledge and expertise. “It is thus crucial for Malaysia to have a small but credible and effective naval force to not only safeguard its sovereignty and maritime interests but also contribute to the region’s maritime security and safety,” he added.

KD Tunku Abdul Rahman is set to sail home, manned by the country’s first submarine crew in January 2009 while the second vessel, to be named KD Tun Razak, is expected to be delivered by October 2009. "

Well, just another great achievement for the country, congratulation for Royal Malaysian Navy. And of course this is another kind of Malaysia BOLEH.......

By the way, one of my fav movie is The Hunt For Red October (1990)..... starred by Sean Connery, Alec Baldwin and Scott Glenn.... Marko Ramius (sean Connery) is captain of the Soviet Union's newest ballistic missile submarine, the Red October, equipped with a revolutionary silent propulsion system known as the Caterpillar drive. At the start of the movie, he is shown taking the boat out to sea, ostensibly for its first exercise with other units of the Russian Fleet. The captain, however, has another plan—to navigate the submarine to the coast of America in order to defect.
